Rearrangement ions in the mass spectra of some trimethyl- and dimethyl-silanes

Abstract

Trimethylsilyl derivatives of phenols and aniline give peaks in their mass spectra for tropylium and substituted tropylium ions and have the M– 15 peaks as the base peak.
