Homogeneous catalytic activation of O–H and N–H bonds in organic molecules by ruthenium, osmium, rhodium, and iridium complexes

Abstract

H–D isotopic exchange between D2 and CH3COOH, CH3OH, C2H5OH or morpholine is observed in the presence of some RuII, OsII, RhI or IrI complexes at ambient conditions; analogous compounds of Pt0,II, Pd0,II, NiII, CoII and FeII are inactive.
