Group VI tetrahydrides and stereochemical non-rigidity

Abstract

A series of tungsten tetrahydrides [WH4(PR3)4](PR3= tertiary phosphine) has been prepared; the 1H n.m.r. spectra in deuteriobenzene at room temperature show metal hydride spectra consistent with a rigid structure.
