Abstract

5,6,8,9-Tetrahydrocyclopenta[1,2,3-ef:5,4-d′]bis[1]benzoxepin has been identified as a by-product in the cyclisation of 4-phenoxybutyric acid with polyphosphoric acid in xylene.
