Triterpenoids from Entandrophragma cylindricum sprague. Part II. The structures of sapelins C, D, E, and F

Abstract

Four minor triterpenes, sapelins C, D, E, and F, have been isolated from Entandrophragma cylindricum Sprague. Sapelin F is a pentahydroxy tirucall-7-ene. The others are derivatives of 7 α-hydroxyapotirucall-14-ene. The structures of these triterpenes have been established by correlation with sapelins A and B.
