Keten. Part XI. The addition of dimethylketen to N-(2,6-xylyl)benzylideneamine N-oxide

Abstract

Dimethylketen reacts with N-(2,6-xylyl)benzylideneamine N-oxide to form a 7-oxabicyclo[4,3,0]nona-2,4-dien-8-one (V) resulting from a sigmatropic migration of an enolate anion.
