Carcinogenic nitrogen compounds. Part LXXI. Acridines from 5-aminobenzo[b]selenophen

Abstract

Mild thermolysis of 5-aminobenzo[b]selenophen in the presence of NN-diarylamines gives the corresponding acridine derivatives, a novel synthesis of these compounds. Several derivatives of seleno[3,2-a]acridine, a new heterocyclic system, have also been obtained.
