Further observations on the addition of tetrahalogeno-1,2-benzoquinone to cyclopentadienones

Abstract

Tetrachloro- and tetrabromo-1,2-benzoquinone have been shown to add efficiently to several cyclopentadienones by a high-temperature melt reaction. The products in all cases were cyclopentadioxinones.
