Dissociation constants of phenylacetic acid and three substituted phenylacetic acids

Abstract

The dissociation constants of four acids in aqueous solution have been determined at 25° by means of conductivity measurements. The pK values are: phenylacetic acid, 4·310; o-methylphenylacetic acid, 4·297; o-ethylphenylacetic acid, 4·317; o-fluorophenylacetic acid, 4·093.
