Structure of taxinine: X-ray analysis of 2,5,9,10-tetra-O-acetyl-14-bromotaxinol
Abstract
The crystal structure of 2,5,9,10-tetra-O-acetyl-14-bromotaxinol, C28H39O9Br, has been determined by a three-dimensional X-ray analysis. The crystals are orthorhombic, a= 18·527, b= 10·211, c= 15·236 Å, Z= 4, and space group P212121. The intensities were measured on an automatic four-circle diffractometer using Mo-Kα radiation. The structure was solved by the programme SEARCHER, for the automatic heavy-atom analysis, and refined by full-matrix least-squares calculations to a final R of 0·089 for 1920 independent observed reflexions. The absolute configuration was determined by the anomalous dispersion method.
