The stoicheiometry of steroidal ketone–benzene association complexes

Abstract

The stoicheiometry of benzene–ketone complexes in carbon tetrachloride solution has been studied and it is concluded that for acetone, 4-t-butylcyclohexanone, and 5α-androstan-11-one the complex formation is 1 : 1 over the concentration range studied (up to 9M in benzene).
