Metal atom vibrations in transition metal clusters and complexes by inelastic neutron scattering spectroscopy
Abstract
The ligation of metal atoms with hydrogen renders their motions strongly neutron-active. The spectra obtained lead to assignments of molecular structures and force fields for HFeCo3(CO)12; HOs3(CO)12PF6; H3Mn3(CO)12; H3Re3(CO)12; (π-cp)2MoH2; (π-cp)2WH2; (π-cp)MoH3PF6 and (π-cp)2WH3PF6(cp = cyclopentadienyl).
