Vibrational spectra of dihalogeno-anions of copper(I) and silver(I) in solution in tri-n-butyl phosphate
Abstract
Far-i.r. and Raman spectra of solutions of copper(I) and silver(I) halides in tri-n-butyl phosphate containing added halide ion indicate the presence of the complex ions MX2–(M = Cu, Ag; X = Cl, Br, I) with linear, centrosymmetric structures. Force-constants for these ions are calculated.
