Kinetics of the reaction of nickel(II) ion with 2,2′-bipyridyl in methanol–acetonitrile mixtures

Abstract

The kinetics of the reaction of nickel ion with bipyridyl in methanol–acetonitrile mixtures have been investigated. The activation parameters show large changes above 0·5 mole fraction of acetonitrile. The results are examined with reference to structural aspects of the systems, and different regions of structural influence are indicated for the solvent range.
