Kinetics of the formation of monocomplexes of iron(III) with salicylic acid, sulphosalicylic acid, 8-hydroxyquinoline, and salicylaldehyde

Abstract

The kinetics of formation of the bidentate monocomplexes of iron(III) with salicylic acid, sulphosalicylic acid, 8-hydroxyquinoline, and salicylaldehyde have been measured at different acidities and reactant concentrations, over a temperature range. Possible mechanisms of reaction are discussed.
