Preparation of some anionic acetylene complexes of the Group VI metal carbonyls

Abstract

The photochemical reactions of the Group VI metal hexacarbonyls with the acetylide ion, C≡CR where the metal is Cr, Mo, or W, and R is Me or Ph are described. The bonding in these complexes is discussed and their reactions with triphenylphosphine are described.
