Dipole moments and conformations of chlorosulphinates and chlorosulphonates

Abstract

The electric dipole moments of some chlorosulphinates and chlorosulphonates have been measured in benzene solution and their conformations have been estimated by a graphical method. The results suggest that the conformations of the title compounds are the same as those of alkanesulphinates and alkanesulphonates.
