Organobismuth(V) compounds. Part II. Acetonyltriphenylbismuthonium perchlorate and tetrafluoroborate

Abstract

Acetonyltriphenylbismuthonium perchlorate and tetrafluoroborate have been synthesized from a novel reaction between triphenylbismuth dichloride and silver perchlorate or tetrafluoroborate using acetone as solvent. The compounds have been characterized by elemental analyses, and, electrical conductance, and 1H n.m.r. and i.r. spectroscopic measurements.
