Action of bistrifluoromethylphosphino-compounds on pentacarbonylmanganese hydride
Abstract
Pentacarbonylmanganese hydride, HMn(CO)5, reacts with (CF3)2PX either to give XMn(CO)5(X = I, Br, or Cl) or HMn(CO)4[P(CF3)2X](X = F, CF3, or CH3). The new hydrides have been shown to be a mixture of cis- and trans-isomers by n.m.r. spectroscopy.
