Salts of the dimethyltetrafluorophospate, [Me2PF4], anion

Abstract

Stable phosphiniminophosphonium salts of the hitherto unknown dimethyltetrafluorophosphate anion, [Me2P(N[double bond, length as m-dash]PR3)2]+[Me2PF4], have been prepared in the reaction of dimethyltrifluorophosphorane with several N-trimethylsilylphosphine imines.
