Selective hydroboration of Δ20(21)-steroids
Abstract
A stereoselective synthesis of 21-hydroxysteroids of the (20S) series including the preparation of 3β,21-dihydroxy-(20S)-cholest-5-ene and its conversion into 20-isocholesterol, is described.
