Crystal structure of hexakis(trimethylsilylmethyl)dimolybdenum

Abstract

Hexakis(trimethylsilylmethyl)dimolybdenum has a short Mo–Mo bond (2 167 Å) corresponding to a triple bond; similar neopentyl and benzyl derivatives and the isostructural tungsten compound are reported.
