Effect of hydroperoxide on the isomerization of olefins catalysed by a ruthenium(II) complex

Abstract

The rate of olefin isomerization catalysed by RuCl2(Ph3P)3 is greatly accelerated in the presence of small amount of hydroperoxides which convert the ruthenium complex into a catalytically active compound having a CO ligand.
