The structure of a hydrocarbon, 2,6,10,10-tetramethyltricyclo[7,2,0,02,7]undec-5-ene, obtained from caryophyllene dihydrochloride: X-ray analysis of the dibromo-derivative

Abstract

The structure of a hydrocarbon, 2,6,10,10-tetramethyltricyclo[7,2,0,02,7]undec-5-ene (I), obtained by eliminating hydrogen chloride from caryophyllene dihydrochloride, has been determined by the X-ray analysis of its dibromo derivative (II).
