Domain hysteresis of carbon-black-filled rubbers
Abstract
A domain theory of hysteresis developed by Everett and co-workers and by Enderby is used to describe the hysteresial properties of natural rubber vulcanizates containing carbon black when subjected to stress. By carrying out certain scanning load-deflection sequences, the various theorems of domain hysteresis can be applied without exception. The shapes of the scanning curves are consistent with the domain theory of hysteresis.
