E.m.f. studies of electrolytic dissociation. Part 10.—Association constants of some zinc dicarboxylates in water

Abstract

The association constants of seven zinc dicarboxylates at zero ionic strength in water at 25°C have been calculated from e.m.f. measurements with two types of cell. Two stages of association appear to occur with zinc oxalate, malonate, tartrate and phthalate. Sources of uncertainties in the answers are discussed.
