Tertiary-pentyl phosphorus compounds

Abstract

Reactions of t-pentylmagnesium chloride with phosphorus trichloride have given t-pentylphosphonous dichloride and di-t-pentylphosphinous chloride, which have been used to prepare t-butyl-t-pentylphosphinic acid and di-t-pentylphosphinic acid.
