The Configuration of the 14-Methyl Group in Cassamic Acid and its Congeners

Abstract

The assignment of the 14-methyl group in cassamic acid and its congeners to the axial position is supported by the experiments described. Magnetic anisotropy calculations are in agreement with this assignment.
