Homolytic aromatic substitution by heterocyclic free radicals. Part I. Reaction of 2-thiazolyl radicals with alkylbenzenes

Abstract

Results dealing with the free-radical thiazolylation of alkylbenzenes are reported. From the results obtained, the 2-thiazolyl radical appears to show electrophilic character similar to that reported for the 2-thienyl radical.
