Vibrational and mass spectra of trimethylsilylgermane, 1,1,1-tri-methyldigermane, and related species

Abstract

The vibrational spectra of Me3SiGeH3, Me3SiGeD3, Me3GeGeH3, and Me3GeGeD3, are recorded and assigned. The Raman spectrum of H3SiGeH3 is reported and ν(SiGe) reassigned at 362 cm–1. The exchange of methyl groups and hydrogen is demonstrated in the fragmentation of trimethylsiylgermane.
