Spectroscopic studies of inorganic fluoro-complexes. Part III. Fluorine-19 nuclear magnetic resonance studies of silicon(IV), germanium(IV), and titanium(IV) fluoro-complexes

Abstract

Anions of the type MF6–2x Bx2–(M = SiIV, GeIV, or TiIV; B = bidentate-ligand) have been characterised in solution by 19F n.m.r. spectroscopy. For GeIV and TiIV, anions of the type MF5OR2– and MF5O2CR2– have also been observed. Redistribution reactions of M(ox)32– and MF62– have been studied quantitatively (M = SiIV, GeIV, SnIV, and TiIV).
