Studies in ion solvation in non-aqueous solvents and their aqueous mixtures. Part XI. Further measurements of the cell H2|HI|AgI–Ag in methanol–water mixtures

Abstract

Measurements of the standard mole e.m.f. (E_m°) of the cell H₂|HI|AgI–Ag in 10, 20·22, 33·4, 43·12, and 50%(w/w) methanol–water mixtures have been repeated, and values given earlier in the Series have been revised. The revision is within experimental error for all but the 20·22 and 33·4% solutions, and does not alter any conclusions drawn from the previous results.
