1-Arylallyl ethers via an unusual allylic rearrangement
Abstract
Treatment of 1-arylpropenes with 2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyanoquinone followed by a primary or secondary alcohol gives good yields of allylically rearranged 1-arylally alkyl ethers.
