The crystal structure of two of nine known crystalline forms of Cu(tetramine)(NCS)2

Abstract

Three-dimensional X-ray crystal structures of two of nine known crystalline forms of copper 1,7-bis-(2-pyridyl)-2,6-diazaheptane dithiocyanate show that both are five-co-ordinate species of the type [Cu (tetramine)NCS]SCN, but with different conformations of the facultative quadridentate ligand.
