The laser Raman spectra of pyridine adsorbed on to oxide surfaces

Abstract

The Raman spectra of pyridine adsorbed on to alumina, titanium dioxide, magnesium oxide, and silica gel are used to distinguish between physical and chemical adsorption and to indicate the nature of the bonding of pyridine to these surfaces.
