Geometry of dihalogenocarbene additions to heterocyclic olefins: an X-ray crystallographic study

Abstract

The crystal structure of the product of addition of dichlorocarbene to 2-phenyl-1,3-dioxacyclohept-5-ene shows that the syn-isomer is formed.
