Biosynthesis of the rotenoid amorphigenin: incorporation of a 2′-[14C]-methoxylated isoflavone by germinating Amorpha seeds
Abstract
The 2′-[14C]methoxyisoflavone (III) is satisfactorily converted into amorphigenin (IV) by germinating seeds of A. fruticosa, thus establishing the first direct experimental link between rotenoids and 2′-methoxy-isoflavonoids.
