Carbon dioxide catalysis of formation of carboxylato-chromium(III) complexes

Abstract

Carbon dioxide, in low concentration, acts as an efficient (base dependent) catalyst for formation of amino acid complexes of CrIII, probably through formation of a chelated carbonato-complex.
