Sulphur and oxygen co-ordination sites in cationic palladium(II) sulphoxide complexes: an entirely oxygen bonded complex

Abstract

A series of cationic PdII alkyl sulphoxide complexes is found to exhibit regular structural changes from cis-S- and O-bonded to trans-S- and O-bonded to entirely O-bonded forms as the steric requirements of the alkyl group increase from methyl to isopentyl.
