A new conformation of the eight-membered phosphazene ring: X-ray crystallographic evidence
Abstract
The cis-isomer of 2,4,6,8-tetrachloro-2,4,6,8-tetraphenylcyclotetraphosphazatetraene (m.p. 190°) has been shown by X-ray crystal-structure analysis to contain molecules in which the eight-membered phosphazene ring has a somewhat flattened crown conformation.
