The direct Bradsher reaction: synthesis of benzodithiophens and related systems
Abstract
The acylation of dithienylmethanes, a bis(benzothienyl)methane, and a bis(benzothienyl) sulphide gives, respectively, benzodithiophenes, a condensed analogue, and a thiapyrylium salt, by a direct Bradsher reaction.
