Cationic acetylene, acetylide, and carbene complexes of platinum(II)

Abstract

Methoxycarbene, acetylene, and acetylide cationic platinum(II) complexes have been isolated from reactions of trans-PtClMeQ2, where Q [double bond, length half m-dash] PMe2Ph or AsMe3, with R1C [triple bond, length half m-dash] CR2 and silver hexafluorophosphate in the presence of methanol.
