The absolute configuration of the title complex has been shown by X-ray anomalous dispersion to be trans-[dichloro-{NN′-bis-(S-2-amino-3-phenylpropyl)-trans-R-cyclohexane-1,2-diamine δλδ}cobalt(III)] perchlorate.
