Preparation of the 1 : 2 uranyl nitrate–methyl diphenyl phosphate solid complex

Abstract

The anhydrous solid complex UO2(NO3).(mdpp)(mdpp = methyl diphenyl phosphate)(m.p. 92°) is soluble in CHCl3, dioxan, MeOH, C6H6, and BuiCOMe, but almost insoluble in H2O, dilute mineral acids, Pr2iO, and hydrocarbons.
