Crystal structure of the diterpene alkaloid hetidine

Abstract

Treatment of hetidine with methyl iodide in Me2N·CHO gave hetidine hydroiodide, whose structure has been determined as (I) by single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies: hetidine has structure (II).
