Conformations of ten-membered ring sesquiterpenes by X-ray crystallography

Abstract

The conformations of pregeijerene, shiromodiol, and elephantol have been studied by X-ray diffraction (in all three molecules the 14- and 15-carbon atoms are syn) and the stereochemistry previously assigned to shiromodiol has been revised.
