A gas-chromatographic determination of tetra-aryl pyrophosphates and diaryl phosphorochloridates in triaryl phosphate

Abstract

A gas-chromatographic method for the quantitative determination of small amounts of tetra-aryl pyrophosphates and diaryl phosphorochloridates in triaryl phosphate has been developed. The tetra-aryl pyrophosphates were converted by methanolysis into diaryl methyl phosphates, which were measured by gas-liquid chromatography with a flame-ionisation detector. The diaryl phosphorochloridates were converted with t-butyl alcohol into t-butyl chloride, which was measured in the same way.
