Potentiometric nitrate analysis: a flow-through electrode unit

Abstract

A flow-through electrode unit for use with a liquid ion-exchange nitrate electrode is described. Temperature control to within ±0·5° C at 25° C and reproducible stirring of the test medium give a mean coefficient of variation of 0·36 per cent. for standards and 0·63 per cent. for plant extracts. The average time for each nitrate concentration measurement is halved.
