The electrophoretic separation of penicillins and penicilloic acids

Abstract

A method for the rapid separation and detection of mixtures of penicillins and penicilloic acids by low voltage electrophoresis is described. The penicilloic acids can be determined visually and the penicillins biologically. The method is particularly useful for following the degradation of penicillin in vivo.
