Solvent effects on infra-red band shapes and intensities. Part 2.—Solvent cavity shape and size
Abstract
The effect of a non-spherical solvent cavity on the solution/gas intensity ratio has been computed. The dimensions of the cavity have a considerably geater effect on As/Ag ratios than is generally appreciated. Such an effect can account for As/Ag ratios which are less than unity.
